Teaching our German classes online. What does this mean?
My course is online. What does this mean?
Your German Course will still take place at the same time as it is scheduled but you will not come together in the same classroom and will meet online instead. Your teacher will still guide you through the lesson and follow our course outline.
What programs do you use?
The program we use is ZOOM. It is very simple to install and the teachers will guide you through it. We will provide you with more detailed instructions after your registration.
What do I need?
You will need a PC, laptop, tablet, or smartphone with an internet connection. Ideally in a quiet place. If you use an older laptop or PC you may need to check if you have a webcam and microphone installed. Your mobile phone will work too but something with a bigger screen will be better suited. If available, please use headphones (not a must).
How will I get my coursebook? (for new courses)
You have two options.
Option A: You can collect your coursebook from the classroom at Woolloongabba at a set time or you can contact DerDieDas for a more flexible pick-up time in Aspley.
Option B: We can mail the book to you. Postage $10. You can add this to your Group course when registering online.
What happens if the situation with Conronavirus improves or gets worse again?
We will follow the advice from the government and Queensland Health. Should it be deemed safe to be in the classroom, we will teach face-to-face. In case of a new lockdown or new restrictions, we will adjust our classes accordingly.
